This page is called TEA LLAMA. TEA stands for Trail Efficiency Algorithm. The new connections visible only on this page are computed by Prim's minimum spanning tree algorithm linking existing trails, parks, and nature preserves. The straight lines show the shortest path. As we identify paths that cross terrain that is not permitted (examples include crossing highways, rivers, private property) we will insert way points so the algorithm computes new lines. Providing this information is intended to encourage residents of our community to use our local parks, trails, and nature preserves and a general healthy lifestyle. We define our community as the municipalities within the Shenendehowa Central School District. This community is located in Saratoga County, New York State.
History of TEA LLAMA: TEA was originally created by the Robotic Renovators 2019-20 team. That team members include: Aryan, Ethan, Hana, Jonah, Josiah, Larry, Max, Nitya, Pranamya, and Ryan. It's important to recognize the original team because they started what we now call TEA LLAMA. Those active on this team for the 2020-21 school year include: Jonah, Josiah, Larry, Max, Nitya, and Pranamya. The current team has continued to expand upon and improve ways TEA LLAMA can be used.
